Tulane, Southern Miss Set for Rematch in Uptown

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane baseball team will look to even the season series with Southern Miss when the Golden Eagles visit Greer Field at Turchin Stadium on Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. CT first pitch.

The Green Wave enters the game at 22-18 overall, while Southern Miss is 25-15.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Jack Benjamin and Ron Swoboda handling the broadcast duties. Voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor will have the radio call on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield. The game will air on 88.3 FM WRBH, along with the Tulane Athletics and Varsity Network apps.

Tuesday's starting pitching matchup will feature the Green Wave's Billy Price (2-2, 4.15 ERA) against JB Middleton of Southern Miss (1-1, 3.38 ERA).

Tulane first baseman Brady Marget leads the team in batting average (.331), OPS (.937), hits (52), RBI (32), total bases (78), walks (28) and on-base percentage (.440). Center fielder Teo Banks, who also has 32 RBI, is the team's leader in home runs (10). Catcher Colin Tuft paces the squad in runs scored (43) and stolen bases (nine). Third baseman Gavin Schulz has a team-high 10 doubles alongside left fielder Jackson Linn's three triples and .543 slugging percentage.
Dalton McIntyre is hitting .404 this season to lead USM. He also has an OPS of .968, 55 hits, an on-base percentage of .453 and 10 stolen bases. The tandem of Carson Paetow and Nick Monistere have both scored 36 runs apiece, while Paetow's 30 walks is also a team-high. Slade Wilks (11) tops the team in doubles, home runs (nine), RBI (37), total bases (85) and slugging percentage (.552).

The two teams locked horns on March 26 in Hattiesburg with USM emerging victorious by a 9-4 score. The Golden Eagles broke open a 2-all tie with a four-spot in the bottom of the fifth inning to put the game out of reach for the Green Wave.
