CLEARWATER, FL – Third-seeded Tulane, the defending American Athletic Conference champions, will play sixth-seeded Florida Atlantic Tuesday in the 2024 conference tournament opener at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater.

The start time will be approximately 8 p.m. ET/7 CT (or 47 minutes following the conclusion of second-seeded UTSA and seventh-seeded Charlotte).

The game will be carried on ESPN+ with Ryan Urquhart, Sean Salisbury and Morgan Uber handling the broadcast duties.

Voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor will also have the call on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield. The game will air on 88.3 FM WRBH, along with the Tulane Athletics and Varsity Network apps. Airtime for Tuesday's game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT (subject to change).

Tulane (31-24) will send RHP Chandler Welch (6-3, 4.58 ERA) to the mound against FAU RHP C.J. Williams (5-4, 3.39 ERA). Williams tossed a complete game, five-hit shutout against the Wave in Boca Raton on April 19.

Florida Atlantic's Christian Adams (.333) paces the Owls in batting average, OPS (.974), runs scored (49), hits (65), total bases (101), slugging percentage (.518), walks (39) and on-base percentage (.456). John Schroeder has a team-high 13 doubles, two triples, nine homers and 46 RBI. Spencer Rich (17) and Jalen DeBose (15) have combined for 32 of the squad's 57 stolen bases.

Tulane first baseman Brady Marget leads the team in batting average (.330), hits (72), RBI (50), total bases (110). Catcher Colin Tuft has scored 61 runs, boasts a team-high 42 walks, .438 on-base percentage and 12 stolen bases. Center fielder Teo Banks leads the team with 14 doubles and 13 homers to go with left fielder Jackson Linn's .971 OPS, three triples and .623 slugging percentage.
