NEW ORLEANS – Tulane sailing is prepared to begin a new campaign this weekend as it opens its 2024 fall schedule in Austin, Texas, for the SEISA Singlehanded and Match Race Championships. The championships will be hosted by the University of Texas for the second year in a row on Lake Travis on Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15.
Â
Ava Anderson and Hamilton Barclay won the SEISA Women's and Open Singlehanded Championships last fall in Austin, Texas. Anderson also went on to win the ICSA Singlehanded National Championship in November on Lake Pontchartrain.
Â
In the 2023 SEISA Match Race Championship, Barclay teamed with Zander King and Mia Hanes to win the title over Texas on the waters of Lake Travis.
