
Tulane Finished Tied for 10th at Rainbow Wahine Invitational

KAUA'I, Hawaii – Sophomore Cristina Albertazzi helped lead Tulane women's golf to a tie for 10th at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational by posting a three-round score of 216 (E). The Green Wave finished the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 883 (+19) to placed tied for 10th in the field of 19 teams at Ocean Course Hokuala.
Albertazzi finished the three-round tournament with her second round under par shooting a 71 (-1) on Wednesday. Her third-round performance helped her climb five spots in the overall standings to finish tied for 13th overall with a tournament score of 216 (E – 70, 75, 71). Albertazzi ended play tied for second on the team and 24th in the field with nine total birdies.
Next up on the leaderboard for the Wave at the end of the tournament was Sophia Chen who landed tied for 43rd overall. She finished her 54-hole performance with a final score of 223 (+7 – 74, 70, 79). Chen tied for sixth in the tournament field and led Tulane with 13 total birdies in three rounds of play.
The next two players in the standing for the Green Wave were Francesca Pompa and Gabriella Gilrowski. Pompa closed the three-day tournament tied for 60th overall with a total score of 226 (+10 – 74, 77, 75) while Gilrowski followed with a final tally of 227 (+11 – 75, 79, 73) to place tied for 62nd.
Playing as an individual for the Wave Tonka Zacharovska finished with a 54-hole score of 232 (+16 – 75, 75, 82) to end the tournament tied for 91st overall. Meanwhile, Sophia Macias recorded nine birdies in just two rounds to post a 36-hole score of 145 with a 71 (-1) in the first round and a 74 (+2) in the third round.

Tulane will return to the mainland to play in The Judson hosted by Southern Miss in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The tournament is set to be hosted on October 27-28 at the Hattiesburg Country Club.
