Wave Drops to Sixth Through 36 Holes in the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

GREENSBORO, Ga. – Tulane golf fell two spots into sixth place in the standings on Saturday following the second round of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational. The Green Wave carded a 306 (+18) on day two of the tournament to sit with a total team score of 608 (+33) through 36 holes.

Matilde Innocenti continues to pace the Wave on the course as she sits tied for eighth overall with a two-day total of 149 (+5). She followed her 74 (+2) in the first round by carding a 75 (+3) on Saturday. Â Innocenti ranks fourth in the tournament on par 4s averaging 4.11 strokes on those holes through the first two rounds.

The remaining four in the lineup for Tulane closed the day tied for 40th overall with a two-round score of 156 (+12). Gabriella Gilrowski was the largest climber on the day for the Wave as she moved up 32 spots after shooting a 73 (+1) in the second round to follow her 83 (+1) from the first round.

Cristina Albertazzi and Tonka Zacharovska each led the Wave with three birdies on Saturday. Albertazzi closed her second round with a total of 77 (+5) after posting a 79 (+7) on Friday. Meanwhile, Zacharovska carded an 81 (+9) in the second round after ending the first round with a 75 (+3).

The final player on the card for the Green Wave was Francesca Pompa who followed her round of 75 (+3) in the opening round with an 81 (+9) on Saturday.

Tulane will be back on the course for the third and final round of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational Sunday morning. Teams are set for a shotgun start beginning at 9:30 a.m.
