Wave Finishes Ninth at the Paradise Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Tulane golf opened its 2025 spring campaign with a ninth place finish out of 15 teams in the Paradise Invitational at the Osprey Point Golf Club on Tuesday. The Green Wave finished the tournament with a total team score of 870 (+6) through 54 holes.
After closing the first day of the tournament in eighth with a 575 (-1) through two rounds, the Wave ended its first event of the spring by shooting 295 (+7) in the third and final round.
The top player on the course for Tulane was Gabriella Gilrowski who finished tied for 10th overall in the tournament. Gilrowski posted a three-round total on 212 (-4) after recording a 68 (-4) in the first round followed by back-to-back rounds of 72 (E) in the second and third rounds.
Freshman Francesca Pompa was the next player on the leaderboard for the Green Wave landing tied for 27th overall with a final score of 218 (+2). Pompa closed her first tournament of the spring by carding a 73 (+1) on Tuesday in the third round after she shot a 74 (+2) in the first and a 71 (-1) in the second on Monday.
Following closely behind Pompa was Matilde Innocenti who ended tied for 34th overall with a 54-hole total of 219 (+3). Innocenti started the tournament carding her best score in the first round with a 69 (-3) followed by a 76 (+4) in the second round and a 74 (+2) in the third.
Tonka Zacharovska finished the tournament tied for 45th in the field with a final score of 221 (+5). Her top score came in the first round with a 71 (-1) which she followed with a 74 (+2) in the second and a 76 (+4) in the third.
Rounding out the players in the field for the Tulane was Sophia Yi-Ju Chen who landed tied for 70th after carding 79 (+7), 77 (+5), and 76 (+4) to finish with a three-round total of 232 (+16).
Up next, Tulane will travel to Greensboro, Georgia, for the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational hosted by Mercer. The tournament will be held at National Golf Club from February 21-23.
