
Tulane Opens Spring Slate with Road Regattas

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing will begin the 2025 spring season with a pair of road regattas this weekend. The Green Wave compete in the Southern New England Team Race in New London, Connecticut, and the St. Mary's Women's Fleet Race in St. Mary's City, Maryland, from March 15-16.

The Wave will be roll out the starting lineup of Hamilton Barclay with CJ Ricci, Christian Ebbin with Sabrina Anderson, and Kelly Hotlhus with Taylor Bartell for the Southern New England Team race hosted by Connecticut College. The Green Wave will also send Ryan Ehnot, Matheo Capasso, Sloane Mullin, and Brady Starck as substitutions for the lineup. Tulane will be one of 10 teams represented in the regatta alongside Coast Guard, MIT, Connecticut College, Roger Williams, Brown, Tufts, Boston College, and Rhode Island.

Meanwhile, the Green Wave will have a women's squad represented by Sammie Gardner with Hope Breslin and Ava Anderson with Ella May Corckran in the starting lineup for the St. Mary's Women's Fleet Race hosted by St. Mary's College. Joining the starting lineup will be Cate Anderson, Caitlin Briggs, Essie Clifton, Oakley Cunningham, Martha Hughes, and Gabriela Vassel as substitutions. The Wave will be one of 18 team competing in the regatta including Christopher Newport, College of Charleston, Connecticut College, Fordham, George Washington, Georgetown, Hobart & William, Jacksonville, Northeastern, Old Dominion, St. Mary's, Hawaii, Michigan, Rhode Island, South Florida, Vermont, and Yale.
