Tulane Prevails over Liberty 4-3 in Charlotte on Saturday

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Liberty Flame fell victim to the Tulane women's tennis team by the score of 4-3 Saturday afternoon in a neutral site match in Charlotte, NC.

The Green Wave improved to 6-4 overall, while Liberty dropped to 4-8. The Olive and Blue dropped the doubles point before clinching the match in singles play.

Tulane secured singles wins at Nos. 1 (Campbell), 4 (Pierce), 5 (Fantini) and 6 (Theis) to get the four points necessary for the victory. Â Fantini's 6-1, 6-4 victory on court 5 clinched the match.

The Green Wave is back in action tomorrow when it plays Charlotte on its home court at 11:45 a.m. which will be played indoors due to forecasted weather in the region. Live stats for tomorrow's contest can be found here.
