Baseball Plays Host to Southeastern Louisiana Tuesday

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball is back at the friendly confines of Greer Field at Turchin Stadium for an eight-game homestand, beginning with an in-state matchup against Southeastern Louisiana at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Green Wave enter the contest at 22-23 overall, as winners of 19 of their last 30 games, while the Lions are 28-15, and winners of five in a row and six of their last seven contests. The game will be broadcast on 88.3 FM WRBH and the TuneIn Radio app, and live video and live stats will be available at www.TulaneGreenWave.com.

Series History
This will be the 113th meeting between Tulane and Southeastern Louisiana. Tulane leads the series, 77-35. The Lions have won three in a row in the series: 8-5 in Hammond on Feb. 21, and last season, 13-4 in Hammond, and 7-6 in New Orleans. The Green Wave won the previous four meetings, and 11 of 16 meetings, dating back to 2012.

• Sophomore Grant Witherspoon is on the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll this week after hitting .421 with five RBI and five runs in four games last week. He tallied two hits in each contest, and recorded three RBI and three runs in a 9-6 win over LSU last Tuesday.
