Baseball Plays UNO in Home Finale Tuesday

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball will play its final home game of the 2017 season Tuesday when it welcomes crosstown rival UNO for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

Tuesday's contest marks the final home game for 10 Green Wave senior, who were honored on Sunday as part of Senior Day festivities. The Wave enters the game 24-28 overall, while the Privateers are 25-25-1. UNO won the first meeting this season, 9-5, on the lakefront on April 4.

The game will be broadcast on 88.3 FM WRBH, while live video and live stats will be available on www.TulaneGreenWave.com.

Series History
This will be the 142nd meeting between Tulane and UNO. Tulane leads the series, 79-62. The Privateers won, 9-5, on the lakefront on April 4. The teams split the series last season, with UNO winning, 10-9, on their home field, and the Wave winning, 5-2, at Turchin Stadium. The schools first met on April 2-3, 1971, when UNO won 3-1 before Tulane claimed a 9-4 victory the next day.
