NEW ORLEANS - Winners in four of its last five contests and coming off 73-70 home victory over reigning conference champion SMU on Thursday night, the Tulane men's basketball team plays its second American Athletic Conference road game of the season at Memphis on Tuesday night at FedEx Forum.
Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. (CT), as the game will be televised nationally on ESPNews and available on the WatchESPN app. Richard Cross will handle play-by-play responsibilities, while Mark Adams provides color commentary.
DUNLEAVY, SMITH AT EMERGENT LAYER OF FAMILY COACHING TREES
• Head Coach Mike Dunleavy, Sr., is one of just two active NCAA Division I men's basketball head coaches with a son who is also a head coach at the Division I level. Baker Dunleavy became the head coach at Quinnipiac in April 2017. Tubby Smith (Memphis) and G.G. Smith (Loyola-Maryland) are the only other father-son head coaching tandem in NCAA Division I.
HISTORY LESSON
• Tuesday's meeting between the Green Wave and Tigers will mark the 62nd all-time with Memphis leading the series, 50-11.
• Last season, Memphis swept the regular season series, which included an 89-59 win in New Orleans in January, before a 92-70 home victory on March 2.
• Tulane's last victory over the Tigers came on Feb. 13, 2016 in a 94-87 overtime triumph, while the last win in Memphis was a 74-66 decision on Jan. 3, 2015.
LAST TIME OUT
• Tulane outscored SMU by 10 points in the second half in a 73-70 victory over the conference's reigning champions Thursday night in New Orleans.
• Cameron Reynolds led the Green Wave with 20 points and six rebounds, while Melvin Frazier compiled 15 points on 5-for-8 shooting, five assists, four rebounds and three steals, and Caleb Daniels scored 11 points off the bench on 3-for-3 shooting.
• The Wave made 18 of 20 free throws on the night (.900), including nine of 10 in the second half, and shot 16-for-27 (.593) overall in the final 20 minutes, including 6-for-12 (.500) beyond the 3-point arc.
• SMU was led by Shake Milton's game-high 24 points on 9-for-14 shooting, while Jarrey Foster contributed 16 points and seven rebounds.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
• Picked to finish ninth in the American Athletic Conference preseason poll, Memphis snapped a three game losing streak with a 76-67 home win over Tulsa on Saturday afternoon for its first league victory of the season.
• All 10 of the Tigers' wins have come in FedEx Forum this season, as they rank ninth in scoring offense (69.1), eighth in scoring defense (69.9), 11th in 3-point field goal percentage (.293) and last in defending the 3-point shot (.372).

MAN OF STEALS
• Melvin Frazier ranks first in the American Athletic Conference in steals (36) and steals per game (2.4), and has at least three heists in seven contests this season.
• As a sophomore, Frazier finished the 2016-17 regular season No. 1 in the American Athletic Conference in steals per game (1.9), while his 55 takeaways ranked second overall.
ONA EMBO EMERGES
• Known for his defensive prowess as a freshman in 2016-17, sophomore point guard Ray Ona Embo has broken through on the offensive side of the ball in 2017-18.
• Ona Embo played in all 31 games and made 25 starts last season, averaging 6.4 points on 37 percent shooting overall, while making 25 percent (13 of 52) of his 3-pointers. In just 15 games as a sophomore, he's averaging 9.3 points per contest, while making 45 percent of his shots and 41 percent (25 of 61) of his attempts from beyond the arc.
REYNOLDS SURPASSES 1,000 POINTS
• Redshirt senior Cameron Reynolds scored his 1,000th career point in the 81-65 win over Alcorn State on Nov. 29 to become the 36th player in program history to reach the milestone.
• While his seventh point of the night gave him 1,000, Reynolds poured in a season-high 28 points in the effort and moved from No. 37 to No. 34 on the school's all-time scoring list in that game alone.
TWENTY DIMES MULTIPLE TIMES
• Tulane has combined for at least 20 assists on five occasions this season and is unbeaten in those contests.
