SERIES HISTORY – WASHINGTON
- The Green Wave and Huskies have never met before; Sunday's game will be the first all-time between the two sides.
- Sunday's game will also be Tulane's third-ever game against a Division I school from Washington. The Green Wave are 2-0 lifetime against Eastern Washington but have never faced Gonzaga, Seattle, Washington or Washington State.
- Against current members of the Pacific-12 Conference, Tulane is 3-6 all-time. That record includes a 1-0 mark against Oregon and 1-1 records against Colorado and Oregon State.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES

THE BIG 700

Â
A QUARTER CENTURY WITH COACH
Now entering her 25th year with the Green Wave women's basketball program in 2018-19, it's hard to imagine anyone else at the helm besides Coach Lisa Stockton. Her numbers are staggering: three different conferences, four conference tournament championships, two conference regular-season championships, six All-Americans, 11 NCAA Tournament berths, seven WNIT spots and a boatload of wins. No one in the history of Tulane women's basketball is even close to Stockton's career numbers.
Â
STOCKTON NEARS 500
Entering Sunday's game against Washington, Stockton has amassed 495 career victories at Tulane. She is just five wins shy of 500. Stockton has more than nine times as many wins as the second-winningest coach in program history.
Â
TAMING THE TIGERS
Tulane got a huge victory on Thursday night, defeating in-state rival LSU on the Tigers' home court. Tulane has now won six of the last nine contests against LSU dating back to 2010. The Green Wave have also won three of the last four at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Tulane's win over LSU was its first against a Power 5 Conference opponent since it beat Vanderbilt on Nov. 17, 2017.
Â
SECOND-HALF SURGE
After shooting just 35.4 percent from the field in the first half against the Tigers, Tulane found its rhythm in the second. The Green Wave went 50 percent from the field in the third quarter and 42.9 percent from the floor in the fourth, posting a 46.1 percent performance in the half overall. Tulane has shot 47.5 percent from the field overall this year.
Â
FREEMAN SCORING IN DOUBLE FIGURES
Sophomore Krystal Freeman was Tulane's lone player to reach double figures in scoring on Thursday night, getting to 10 points in the game on a 5-of-12 effort from the field. Freeman is Tulane's only player to reach double figures in both games this season and is averaging 13 points per game.
Â
GUTIERREZ GETS GOING
Following a respectable four-point, two-assist showing in her career debut, freshman Erin Gutierrez really made herself known on Thursday at LSU. The Florida native finished second on the team with nine points, second on the team with four assists and led Tulane with five steals. Gutierrez also had two rebounds and played 27 minutes of action off the bench.
Â
UNDERCLASSMEN OVERPERFORMING
Tulane's roster is seeing a youth movement so far in 2018-19 with underclassmen getting a supermajority of minutes played, points scored and assists. Freshmen and sophomores have combined for 67 percent of Green Wave scoring, 67 percent of Tulane minutes and 73 percent of Tulane's assists.
