NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball returns home for the start of American Athletic Conference play with a three-game series against Cincinnati this weekend at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. Game times are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
The game will be broadcast on 88.3 FM WRBH and the TuneIn Radio app. Live video and Live stats will be available through TulaneGreenWave.com.
SERIES HISTORY
Tulane and Cincinnati have played 51 times. Tulane leads the all-time series, 41-10. The Green Wave won two of three in Cincinnati last season, 16-8 and 6-2, before UC won 11-1 in the series finale. The Bearcats won two of three in 2017 in New Orleans, and the Green Wave swept the series in 2015 in Cincinnati. The teams played each year from 1996-2004 as members of Conference USA, when the Wave posted a 27-3 record in the series.

WEEKEND PROMOTIONS
• Sunday is Kids Day: youth 12 years and under can stand on the field next to Tulane players for the national anthem, and run the bases after the game and receive a Raising Cane's kids meal voucher.
• Sunday is also Early Easter: youth 12 years and under can hunt Easter eggs on the field after the game.
QUICK HITS
• After playing 12 straight games in the city of New Orleans between Feb. 27-March 14, Tulane is playing 11 of its next 15 away from home, beginning with the Long Beach State series March 16-18, and including the Cincinnati series this weekend.
• Kody Hoese is on a seven-game hitting streak. He has reached base in 12 straight games while Jonathon Artigues has reached base in 11 straight contests.
• Tulane's 48 doubles rank 15th in the nation. The 2.14 doubles-per-game average ranks 32nd.
• Grant Witherspoon has 10 multiple hit games. Hoese, Artigues and Matt Rowland each have eight multiple hit games, and Sal Gozzo has seven multi-hit games.
• Twelve different players have multiple hit games, and 10 different players have multiple RBI games this season.
• Since moving to the top of the lineup on Feb. 25 at Ole Miss, Artigues has collected 23 hits and 16 runs in 17 games.
• Hoese has batted .400 (10-for-25) in the last seven games, with five RBI, a double, a triple and a home run. He is 27-for-74 (.365) at the plate in the last 20 games.
• Rowland is 18-for-52 (.346) with six doubles, five RBI and 13 runs in the last 13 games.
• Witherspoon has 22 hits in his last 17 games, including a career-best tying four hits vs. Lamar on Feb. 27, and a career-best tying five RBI at UNO on March 6 (including his second career grand slam). He hit two home runs against Purdue on March 11.
• Keagan Gillies has allowed a total of four runs in his last three starts, spanning 20.2 innings, and has 19 strikeouts to five walks in those three outings.
• Acy Owen has three hits in his last three games with two doubles and two runs scored. David Bedgood has three hits in his last three games with a double and an RBI.
• Witherspoon leads the team with five stolen bases while Gozzo and Ty Johnson have four stolen bases apiece. Artigues and Hoese each have three steals this season. The Green Wave are 22-for-26 in stolen bases.
• Rowland had his first two-home run game at Ole Miss on Feb. 23. He hit a solo home run and a two-run homer, and is tied for the team lead with three home runs.
• Tulane has a .977 fielding percentage this season. Four players are fielding at .990 or better, including three at 1.000.
• Tulane has 62 extra base hits among its 192 hits this season, including 48 doubles – 32 percent of of hits have gone for extra bases.
• The Green Wave have turned 19 double plays in 22 games this season.
• Tulane has 45 two-out RBI – 42 percent of its 106 RBI on the season.
• Five players have recorded their first hit this season. Three of those first hits – from Luke Glancy, Grant Mathews and Stephen Sepcich – were doubles.
