NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball continues is six-game homestand this weekend when it welcomes Purdue for a three-game series at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. Game times are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

The games will be broadcast on 88.3 FM WRBH and the TuneIn Radio app. Live video and live stats will also be available through TulaneGreenWave.com.Â

SERIES HISTORY
Tulane and Purdue have played twice. The series is tied, 1-1. The teams met in 1950 in New Orleans, as the Green Wave won the first game, 11-9, and the Boilermakers won the second game, 7-0.

WEEKEND PROMOTIONS
• Sunday will include a mini bat giveaway while supplies last.
• Sunday is Kids Day: youth 12 years and under can stand on the field next to Tulane players for the national anthem and run the bases after the game and receive a Raising Cane's kids meal voucher.

QUICK HITS
• The Green Wave are playing 18 games in 24 days between Feb. 23-March 18, including 11 home games during the stretch.
• Grant Witherspoon and Ty Johnson each have six multiple hit games, while Jonathon Artigues, Sal Gozzo, Kody Hoese and Matt Rowland have five each.
• Ty Johnson has reached base in eight straight games.
• Nine different players have multiple hit games, and nine different players have multiple RBI games this season
• Since moving to the top of the lineup on Feb. 25 at Ole Miss, Artigues has collected 12 hits and 10 runs in eight games.
•  Gozzo has had two hits in four of the last five games.
• Grant Mathews tallied career highs of two hits, three RBI and two runs scored vs. Cal State Fullerton on Sunday.
• Hoese went 0-for-5 in the first two games of the season, and is 15-for-43 (.349) in the 11 games since.
• Senior Matt Rowland had his first two-home run game at Ole Miss on Feb. 23. He hit a solo home run and a two-run homer and leads the team with three home runs.
• Rowland is 7-for-16 (.438) with three doubles, three RBI and six runs in the last four games.
• Ty Johnson is hitting 12-for-29 (.414) with five RBI and four runs in the last seven games.
• Witherspoon has 13 hits in his last eight games, including a career-best tying four hits vs. Lamar on Feb. 27, and a career-best tying five RBI at UNO on March 6 (including his second career grand slam).
• Johnson and Witherspoon have four stolen bases apiece, and Artigues, Gozzo and Hoese each have three steals this season. The Green Wave are 19-for-21 in stolen bases.
• Tulane has a .983 fielding percentage this season. Of the eight errors, five were committed by pitchers and one was by a catcher trying to catch a runner stealing second.
• Tulane has 40 extra base hits among its 123 hits this season, including 31 doubles.
• The Green Wave have turned 12 double plays in 13 games this season.
• Seven position players and eight pitchers have seen their first action at Tulane in the first seven games of the season, and five of those position players have started a game.
• All Saturday home games this season are scheduled for 2 p.m.
