STARTING FIVE
- Tulane looks to put an end to a six-game skid and score its first American Athletic Conference victory of the season in its lone regular season meeting with UConn.
- Saturday's matchup will be the seventh all-time between the Green Wave and Huskies, as UConn has won each of the first six meetings. Tulane has faced Connecticut twice in Storrs and once in Hartford at the XL Center.
- In the Green Wave's last game, they dropped an 83-79 home decision to Memphis on Sunday, Jan. 13. Tulane outscored the Tigers by 11 points in the second half behind freshman Kevin Zhang's season-high 25 points. Senior forward Blake Paul had a career day, registering his first career double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds – both personal bests – to go with three blocks off the bench.
- The Green Wave have stressed attacking the glass with the start of American Athletic Conference play and have outrebounded the opposition in three of their first four league games. Tulane is +4.2 in rebounding margin grabbing just shy of 40 rebounds per contest.
- Tulane has flaunted what head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr. has called his deepest team since his arrival. Ten of the Green Wave's 12 players to see court time this season average at least 11.2 minutes per game.
