
Tulane Women’s Golf Set for Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team will head to the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at the UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Friday, Oct. 11.
The tournament will be three days with the first round beginning Friday at 8 a.m. with teams teeing off from holes one and 10. The second round will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday with golfers starting from holes one and 10. The third and final round will tee-off with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Sunday.
The three-day event will be held at the par-72, 6,379-yard UNC Finley Golf Course. Tulane will face ranked teams from No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 7 Arkansas, No. 9 Duke, No. 14 South Carolina, No. 15 Michigan State, No. 18 Furman, No. 21 Michigan and No. 26 Virginia. Alabama, Charlotte, Kentucky, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Rollins and UNCW will round out the field.
The lineup for the Green Wave this week includes freshman Carlota Palacios at No. 1, freshman Hanna Liu at No. 2, junior Jennifer Rosenberg at No. 3, freshman Sandra Vazquez at No. 4 and sophomore Isabella Cardenas at No. 5.
The last time out, Palacios led the led the Green Wave at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational as she placed second with a score of three-under 213. The freshman posted rounds at three-under 69, one-under 71 and one-over 73. As a team, Tulane finished sixth in Lexington, Kentucky.
