
Palacios Leads the Green Wave at Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Tulane University women's golf team finished the first round the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational in 15th with a score of 13-over 301.
Freshman Carlota Palacios led the way for the Green Wave with a round at one-under 71 to end the day tied for 15th. She logged one birdie on the back-nine and three birdies on the front.
Freshman Sandra Vazquez closed the day tied for 50th at two-over 74. She registered four birdies on the day.
Junior Jennifer Rosenberg and sophomore Isabella Cardenas closed the first round tied for 85th at six-over 78. Cardenas recorded four birdies on the day, including three-straight at holes 14, 15 and 16. Rosenberg had 14 pars on the round.
Freshman Hanna Liu finished the round 94th overall at 11-over 83.
No. 1 Wake Forest leads all teams after round one at six-under 282, while Ohio State's Aneka Seumanutafa is the top individual at six-under 66.
The second round will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday with teams teeing off from holes one and 10. Tomorrow's action can be followed via Golfstat. Live stats can be found by clicking here.
