
Women’s Basketball Set for Exhibition With Loyola-New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane University women's basketball team will begin the 2019-20 season on Wednesday, Oct. 30, with an exhibition game against Loyola-New Orleans at 7 p.m. in Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse. All fans can get in for just $3.
STARTING FIVE
1. Junior Krystal Freeman was named First Team Preseason All-American Athletic Conference heading into the 2019-20 season. She is the first Green Wave player to be tabbed for the preseason honor since Tulane entered the league six seasons ago.
2. Freeman earned the league's Most Improved Player award and Second Team All-Conference status following the 2018-19 season.
3. Dynah Jones was named to the league's All-Freshman Team last season as she completed a strong first year with the Green Wave. She averaged 7.9 points per game to finish third on the roster.
4. Sierra Cheatham won the conference's Ambassador Award in 2018-19, given annually to the student-athlete who most exhibits sportsmanship and community service.
5. Tulane was picked to finish seventh in the conference prior to the 2019-20 season.

- Tulane has never lost to the Wolf Pack in four regular season meetings. The Olive and Blue is 4-0 all-time in games that count toward the win-loss record.
- The Green Wave beat Loyola 89-49 in an exhibition game last season.
- Loyola won the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament and qualified for the NAIA National Championship.
- The Wolf Pack returned the leading scorer from the 2018-19 season in Kaila Anthony. Anthony averaged 16.3 points per game.
- Anthony is the returning leading rebounder for Loyola at 4.3 rebounds per game in 2018-19.
