
Sailing Heads West for Singlehanded Nationals

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane sailing's Cameron Giblin and Ciara Rodriguez-Horan are headed to Santa Barbara, California this weekend to compete in the LaserPerformance Singlehanded Nationals.
Giblin is set to race against sailors from Boston University, Brown, CSU Long Beach, Christopher Newport, Charleston, Hobart & William, St. Mary's, Stanford, Coast Guard, Kings Point, Navy, Miami, Washington and Wisconsin.
Rodriguez-Horan is going up against sailors from Boston College, Brown, Cornell, Georgetown, Jacksonville, Ohio, Queen's, Stanford, Tufts, Navy, Wisconsin and Yale.
Each will compete in 14 total races over the course of the two-day regatta, beginning on Saturday morning.
The two Green Wave sailors qualified for this weekend's national championship in the SEISA Singlehanded Qualifier in September, each earning first-place finishes on the water.
