STARTING FIVE
1. Tulane travels to Orlando to face UCF in a makeup game that was originally scheduled for Dec. 30, but the game was postponed due to issues related to COVID-19. It will be the first of two regular-season matchups between the schools this season. The Green Wave seek their second straight win over the Knights after escaping with a narrow 75-74 win in Orlando last February.
2. On Wednesday evening, Tulane posted a 58-48 road win at Tulsa behind a game-high 20 points by Jaylen Forbes. Coming off the bench, Jadan Coleman finished the game with a career-high 13 points in just 14 minutes off the bench connecting on 5-of-10 shots, including three 3-pointers. The Green Wave held a 35-28 rebounding advantage and outscored the Golden Hurricane off the bench by an 18-11 count. A key to to victory was Tulane's 15 straight points that ignited a 19-2 scoring run to close the first half.
3. The Green Wave's win snapped a six-game skid in the head-to-had series with Tulsa and ended a streak of 10 consecutive road losses at the Reynolds Center.
4. Tulane has won the turnover battle in 12 of its 15 contests this season while also forcing opponents into at least 15 mishaps on seven occasions. Last season, the Green Wave committed equal or fewer turnovers than its opponents in 28 of 30 contests while ranking in the top 15 nationally in turnover margin (+4.3).
5. Tulane currently ranks first in The American in free throw percentage (.788), turnover margin (+3.5) and fewest turnovers per game (11.4). On the national scale, the Green Wave rank in the top 100 in all three categories as well as fewest fouls per game (16.1).
 
• The Knights enter Friday's game with losses in four of their last five games, including a narrow, 61-60, defeat at home to Wichita State in their most recent outing on Feb. 10.
• Picked eighth in The American Preseason Coaches' Poll, UCF is led by Darius Perry's 14.6 points per game, while Brandon Mahan is scoring 13.7 per contest. Mahan is also fifth in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (.441).
• The Knights rank third in the league in 3-point field goal percentage (.346), fourth in free throw percentage (.720) and fifth in steals per game (6.6), but are last in scoring margin (-5.5), rebounding (33.1) and assists per game (10.8).
• UCF owns a 16-4 lead in the all-time series over Tulane including a 7-1 record on its home court.
BY THE NUMBERS
• 3 - Tulane has won three American Athletic Conference road games by double digits under second year head coach Ron Hunter dating back to last season. Wednesday's 58-48 win at Tulsa was the second this season after the 81-64 win at Temple on Jan. 31.
• 20 - Sophomore guard Jaylen Forbes scored 20 points in the win at Tulsa on Feb. 10, marking the fourth time this season he's eclipsed the 20-point threshold.
• 219 - Tulane has made at least one 3-point field goal in 219 consecutive games. The last time the Green Wave failed to do so occurred on January 16, 2014 at home against Louisiana Tech when they shot 0-for-14 from outside.
LAST TIME THEY MET - FEBRUARY 22, 2020
Tulane overcame a 10-point deficit in the final four minutes to storm back and defeat UCF on the road, 75-74. Nic Thomas made three free throws after being fouled on a 3-point attempt to give the Green Wave the one-point advantage with eight seconds remaining. K.J. Lawson scored a game-high 21 points, as Teshaun Hightower added 18 points, five assists and four steals, while Christion Thompson chipped in 15 points and nine boards. Jordan Walker notched a career-high six steals. Tulane shot 50 percent from the field and beyond the 3-point line, respectively in the second half, to lead the late surge.
AAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
• Tulane redshirt freshman forward Tylan Pope was named American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week by the league office on Monday, Feb. 1. Pope averaged 12.0 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting over 56 percent from the field in a 1-1 week for the Green Wave. He recorded his second double-double of the season by matching his personal best with 12 points, a career-high 13 rebounds and two blocks in Tulane's 81-64 road win over Temple on Jan. 31. On Jan. 28, the Franklinton, Louisiana native tallied 12 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench against No. 6 Houston.
AAC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
• Tulane sophomore Jaylen Forbes earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll three times this season on Nov. 30, Jan. 4 and Feb. 1. The first came after averaging 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in a a pair of wins over Lamar and Lipscomb. The second time came after his 20-point performance that led the Green Wave to a league home win over ECU. He then added his third honor after scoring a career-high 23 points in the win at Temple.
• Redshirt junior Jordan Walker has been named to the Weekly Honor Roll twice this season (Dec. 14 and Feb. 8) and four times in his career.
