
Beach Volleyball to Compete in Southern Miss Beach Invitational

NEW ORLEANS — The RV Tulane beach volleyball team (12-10, 2-8 CCSA) is headed back on the road this weekend, traveling to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to compete in the Southern Miss Beach Invitational.
The Green Wave are set to take on Spring Hill College at 12 p.m. and RV UAB at 4 p.m. on Friday before facing Louisiana Monroe at 12 p.m. and host Southern Miss at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
In their last weekend out in the competitive FIU Surf 'N Turf in Miami, Florida, the Olive and Blue went 1-3, defeating Tampa 3-2 while falling to No. 12 FAU (2-3), No. 20 Florida Gulf Coast (2-3) and No. 13 Florida International (2-3).
Spring Hill is 8-4 so far in 2021, most recently defeating UNO (3-2) and Southern Miss (3-2) on Monday in Hattiesburg. Tulane owns an 11-0 undefeated career record against the Badgers, sweeping them earlier this season in the NOLA Classic.
UAB owns a 6-11 record this season, dropping four matches against ranked opponents two weeks ago in the competitive FAU Beach Bash in Boca Raton, Florida. The Green Wave are 15-5 all-time against the Blazers, earning a 4-1 win over them to start the season in the Green Wave Invitational before falling to them, 2-3, in the March to May.
ULM has put together an 11-10 record this season on the sand, going 2-0 in the team's last time out at Missouri State. The Olive and Blue are 8-5 against Louisiana Monroe, last earning a 4-1 win earlier this season at home in the Bayou Beach Duals.
Southern Miss is 6-13 so far this season, most recently defeating New Orleans (4-1) and Southeastern Louisiana (4-0) while falling to Spring Hill (2-3) in a home tournament on Monday. Tulane is 4-0 all-time against the Golden Eagles, earning a 4-1 win in the team's last matchup in the 2019 Tiger Beach Challenge.
