Men's Basketball Welcomes Tulsa to Uptown

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University men's basketball hosts Tulsa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.Â
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans can also listen to the game live on the radio by tuning into 104.1 The Spot or by CLICKING HERE. Tulane's "Voice of the Green Wave" Corey Gloor will call the action live.

1. The Tulane University men's basketball hosts the Tulsa Hurricane after coming off a barn burner versus Memphis on Sunday night. This was the Green Wave's third win versus Memphis since 2016 and the teams second straight home win versus the Tigers.

2. Sion James led the Green Wave versus Memphis with a career night totaling 30 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. James was 6-8 from the field and 4-4 from beyond the arc, going 14-15 from the charity stripe. That is the most points a Tulane player has scored since Jaylen Forbes dropped 30 versus Drexel on 11/16/21.

3. Tulane's 96 points versus Memphis was the third time they have scored 90+ this season.

4. Jaylen Forbes ranks fourth in the conference in points per game at 17.4. Forbes continues to lead the conference in free throw percentage at .908, shooting 59-65 from the line.

5. Tulane leads the AAC in scoring offense at 79.8. Tulane continues to lead the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.50).

THE OPPONENT – TULSA
• Tulsa is winless in conference play thus far at 0-2 with losses to SMU and Houston and sit last in league standings.
• The Hurricane sit second to last in the AAC in scoring offense averaging just 64.8 points per game.
• Tulsa holds the worst shooting percentage in the AAC at .419. They also shoot just .667 from the line.
• Averaging 32.8 rebounds per game is also at the bottom of the league. Tulane is one above them at 33.0 rpg.
• Tulsa is under the direction of first year head coach Eric Konkol who comes from fellow Louisiana school, LaTech where he went 153-75.

• Tulane would get its fourth straight win over the Hurricane and its second straight home win.

• Four Green Wave players are currently shooting over .800 from the line - Jaylen Forbes (.908), Jalen Cook (.892), Kevin Cross (.830) and Collin Holloway (.810).
