Tulane Cross Country Ready for NCAA Regionals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Tulane University cross country will compete to advance the NCAA Championships this weekend as the team will run in the NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Friday, November 10. The Green Wave women will be racing for their first ever berth in the NCAA Championships while the men will look to qualify for the first time since 1999.
The meet will be held at Agri Park with the women's race beginning at 10:30 a.m. followed by the men's race at 11:30 a.m. Awards will follow for team champions as well as the top 25 finishers in each race. Live results for the races will be available HERE.
The Wave finished fifth overall in the men's race last season with Bradley Makuvire and Evans Kipchumba earning All-Region selections by finishing ninth and 21st individually. Makuvire also advanced to the NCAA Championship after his performance. The Tulane women also finished in the top-10 in the region landing 13th overall with Mackenzie Callahan earning All-Region selection by finishing 10th individually.
Running for Tulane in the men's race will be Makuvire, Arturs Lapins, Illia Kunin, Alan Deogracias III, Ryan Adkins, Juan Giron, and Jack Jennings.
In the women's race the Green Wave will be represented by Lili Grant, Sophia McNerney, Danna Diaz, Maddy Luscombe, Paula Vaquera, Lily Bell, Gemma Rebollo.
Last time out, the Green Wave women won their first American Athletic Championship in program history. Tulane had three top-10 finishes in the women's race including Rebollo who won the individual championship. In the men's race, three runners finished in the top six to help the Wave finish third overall in the meet.
