
Baseball Heads to Seattle for Mid-Week Baseball

NEW ORLEANS - On Wednesday, the Tulane University baseball team (5-15) travels to Seattle to take on Washington (14-4) for a midweek match up at Husky Ballpark.

THE MATCHUP
Wednesday's game begins at 8:05 p.m. Central Standard Time. Â

The games airs live on PAC-12 streaming service with radio coverage on WRBH 88.3 FM. And the Varsity app.

The meeting marks the seventh in the history between the schools. The first came back in 1972 at home when the Green Wave took the game 2-0. Most recently the two ball clubs met in the 2004 Oxford regional where Tulane was victorious 3-2. The Green Wave holds the all-time advantage of 6-0.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
The Huskies are on a hot streak as of late. They have won 13 of their last 15 and claimed four of their five series so far this season.
Washington is led offensively by AJ Guerrero. He owns the big bat with a .393 batting average. In 24 hits, he has accumulated double-digit RBI and five extra base hits. Guerrero is also perfect in the field with 20 putouts and one assist.
LAST TIME OUT
Tulane took two of three games against the Columbia Lions for its first series win of 2023.

Senior Brayden Morrow finished the weekend with a .571 average and two RBI all while sporting a .625 on-base percentage.

The mound was highlighted by freshman two-way player Michael Lombardi. He threw the final four innings in the Wave's Saturday win where he gave up one hit, no runs and struck out seven.
