
Bowling Finishes First Tournament of the Season

ORLANDO – Tulane Bowling completed its final day of competition at Destination Orlando, finishing 15th out of 24 teams. The Green Wave climbed two spots from 17th after Day 1, wrapping up the weekend with a total of 12,661 pins, including 2,518 added in their final Baker matches against Delaware State and Monmouth.
The Green Wave defeated Monmouth 4-3, totaling 1340 pins against the Hawks after seven games. Tulane clinched the first game 206-182 before narrowly losing the second 160-161. The Wave came back in the third to win 192-177 and dominated the fourth 217 to 172. They dropped the fifth and sixth 183-215 and 195-206 but decisively claimed the final game 187 to 137.
Tulane fell to Delaware State 2-4, but earned more total points than the Hornets with 1,178 over 1,114. Tulane won game three 191-175 and owned game four 246 to 171, but ultimately gave up the remaining games 168-181, 202-206, 176-180, and 195-201.
Mia Stolakis ended in 49th place out of 179 from her total of 941 pins, while Nancy Kohut knocked down 741 to earn 79th place.
Jacksonville State claimed first in the tournament, followed by Arkansas State and Nebraska, who defeated Vanderbilt from behind.
UP NEXT
Tulane bowling will be back in action next weekend from Oct. 25-27 at the Southern Queens tournament in Baton Rouge hosted by Southern University.
