
Baseball Hosts Fall World Series This Week

NEW ORLEANS –  The teams have been drafted, the uniforms have been determined so all that remains is to play the games as Tulane's baseball team is set to host the annual Fall World Series this week from Thursday – Saturday on Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

Admission is free. As a special note, no outside food or drink is allowed as concessions will be open for all fans in attendance and the clear bag policy is in effect.Â
Tulane finished up the fall scrimmages against outside competition on Nov. 2 as the program defeated Nicholls by an 18-6 score. The program totaled 18 hits in the contest. The Colonels went 38-22 and 16-8 in the Southland Conference last season. Nicholls won their second straight SLC Tournament Title in 2024 and made the school's fifth-ever NCAA Regional appearance where they were eliminated by Tulane 3-0 in the Corvalis Regional.

Tulane's baseball team went 36-26 during the 2024 season, rolled to the team's second straight AAC Championship and earned a post-season berth to the NCAA Regionals for the second consecutive campaign under the watchful eye of head coach Jay Uhlman. The program defeated Nicholls 3-0 in the regionals for the first NCAA shutout since 2005 over Rice in the Super Regionals. The victory was the first for the program in the NCAA Tournament since 2016 when the team defeated Utah by a 4-1 score. The program saw four of its players drafted in the 2024 MLB Draft in Chandler Welch, Colin Tuft, Brady Marget and Teo Banks. Tulane has now totaled 135 all-time draft choices including 18 since 2019.
