TULANE GAME NOTES
HOUSTON – The Tulane and Rice baseball teams will open their respective American Athletic Conference schedules this weekend when the teams play a three-game series at Reckling Park in Houston.

First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday's contest will begin at 2 p.m. and Sunday's is set to start at 1.

The Green Wave (13-8) is coming off its second shutout win of the season with a 2-0 home victory over Saint Louis on Monday, while Rice enters at 8-13 after 4-1 and 4-2 losses to crosstown rival Houston on Tuesday (at Houston) and Wednesday (at Rice).

All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.Â

Voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor will also have the call on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield. The games will air on 88.3 FM WRBH, along with the Tulane Athletics and Varsity Network apps. Airtime for all the games is 15 minutes before first pitch.

Friday's pitching matchup will pit Rice RHP Parker Smith (2-2, 3.60 ERA) against Tulane LHP Luc Fladda (0-0, 3.63 ERA). Saturday's starters will be Rice LHP J.D. McCracken (2-1, 3.90 ERA) and Tulane RHP Chandler Welch (2-0, 2.54 ERA). On Sunday, the Olive and Blue will send RHP Will Clements (1-1, 5.30 ERA) to the hill against a Rice hurler that has not yet been determined.

Rice's Jack Riedel has a team-high six home runs and 16 RBI, while Nathan Becker leads the way with a .328 batting average and seven doubles. As a team, the Owls have been successful on 11 of their 18 stolen base attempts.Â

Tulane left fielder Jackson Linn and third baseman Gavin Schulz each have five home runs apiece. Linn's .361 batting average paces the team, while Schulz does the same in the RBI category (18). First baseman Brady Marget is the on-base percentage leader at .444.
