TULANE GAME NOTES
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane and UTSA baseball teams will do battle this week in the first home American Athletic Conference series of the season for the Green Wave.

First pitch on Thursday and Friday is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday's contest will begin at noon.

The Green Wave (15-10, 2-1 AAC) is coming off a 9-4 loss at Southern Miss on Tuesday, while UTSA enters at 13-12 after a 9-7 win at Baylor that same day. Both teams are 2-1 after Tulane went on the road and took two of three from Rice and UTSA did the same at home to 10th-ranked East Carolina.

All three games will be streamed on ESPN+ with Jack Benjamin and Ron Swoboda handling those broadcast duties.Â

Voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor will also have the call on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield. The games will air on 88.3 FM WRBH, along with the Tulane Athletics and Varsity Network apps. Airtime for all the games is 15 minutes before first pitch.

Thursday's pitching matchup will pit UTSA RHP Robert Orloski (3-2, 4.55 ERA) against Tulane LHP Luc Fladda (0-0, 3.58 ERA). Friday's starters will be UTSA RHP Zach Royse (0-2, 4.50 ERA) and Tulane RHP Chandler Welch (3-0, 2.23 ERA). On Saturday, the Olive and Blue will send RHP Will Clements (1-2, 5.48 ERA) to the hill against UTSA's Ulises Quiroga (1-0, 4.15 ERA).

UTSA's Caleb Hill is hitting .396 this season and leads the team with 34 runs scored, seven home runs, 23 RBI, 67 total bases, 12 walks, slugging percentage (.698) and on-base percentage (.487). Mason Lytle has 42 hits, seven doubles and has yet to be caught in 11 stolen base attempts.

Tulane third baseman Gavin Schulz is hitting .314 thus far, with an OPS of .944, 22 RBI and 48 total bases. Center fielder Teo Banks leads the team in runs scored (23), doubles (7) and home runs (6). First baseman Brady Marget paces the Green Wave in hits (31), left fielder Jackson Linn is slugging .588 and second baseman Connor Rasmussen has walked 19 times.
