TULANE GAME NOTES
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane welcomes South Florida for a three-game series this weekend that will take place on Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

The first pitch on Friday and Saturday is set for 6:30 p.m., while Sunday's series finale will begin at 1.

Friday will Hawaiian Night where the first 500 fans will receive a Hawaiian shirt. Saturday will be the program's Military Appreciation game, while Sunday is, once again, Riptide's Kids Club Day. All members will receive free admission to go with a collectible card giveaway and postgame autographs with Brady Marget, Adam Ebling, William Good, Gavin Smith and coach Justin Bridgman.Â

The Green Wave (18-15, 3-6 AAC) is coming off a 7-4 win at UNO on Tuesday, a victory that returned the Pelican Cup to Uptown.

South Florida (20-13, 6-3) has won four straight following a midweek triumph over Bethune-Cookman and a home sweep of Wichita State.

All three games this weekend will be streamed on ESPN+ with Jack Benjamin and Ron Swoboda handling the broadcast duties.

Voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor will also have the call on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield. The games will air on 88.3 FM WRBH, along with the Tulane Athletics and Varsity Network apps. Airtime for all the games is 15 minutes before first pitch.

Friday's pitching matchup will pit USF RHP Hunter Mink (3-3, 4.57 ERA) against Tulane LHP Luc Fladda (0-2. 4.46 ERA). Saturday's starters will be USF RHP Jack Cebert (4-2, 4.26 ERA) and Tulane RHP Chandler Welch (3-1, 4.50 ERA). On Sunday, the Bulls will send RHP Lawson Gailey (2-0, 4.50 ERA) to the hill against a Green Wave pitcher that has yet to be determined.

South Florida's John Montes (.387 batting average) also leads the team in OPS (1.090), hits (46), total bases (74) and slugging percentage (.662). Drew Brutcher has a team-high 34 runs scored, 13 doubles, 36 walks and a .494 on-base percentage. Bobby Boser paces the squad in home runs (7) in just 17 games to go with Jackson Mayo's 33 RBI. Ben Rosenblum has swiped 15 bases in 17 attempts.

Tulane third baseman Gavin Schulz is the team's leader in batting average (.331), hits (40-tied with Marget), doubles (10), RBI (26) and total bases (68). Catcher Colin Tuft had a team-best 29 runs scored, while left fielder Jackson Linn paces the Green Wave in triples (3) and slugging percentage (.573). Tuft and center fielder Teo Banks also have a team-high seven round-tippers on the season. Second baseman Connor Rasmussen has drawn 25 walks and sports a .448 on-base percentage.
