
Tulane Finishes 15th at ICSA Open Team Race National Championship

BOSTON – After two days on the water for the 2024 ICSA Open Team Race National Championship the Tulane University sailing team finished 15th overall in the field of 16 teams competing. The national championship regatta was co-hosted by MIT and Harvard on the waters of Charles River.
The Green Wave ended with a 3-12 overall record through 15 rotations in two days at the regatta. On Friday Tulane added just two wins to its overall record by securing victories over College of Charleston and Wisconsin. The Wave was led by skippers Hamilton Barclay, Zander King, Kelly Holthus, Sammie Gardner, and Matheo Capasso with crews CJ Ricci, Alex Makoid, Gillian Perrell, Lucy Spearman, and Andrea Riefkohl-Gonzalez in the national championship regatta.
Up next, Tulane will field a women's team in the ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship beginning on Sunday, April 28. The women's national championship will also be co-hosted by Harvard and MIT on the Charles River.
Racing is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. CT on Sunday. Live stream coverage will begin at 12 p.m. CT for both days of the regatta on Sunday and Monday.
