Lions Return to Uptown for Tuesday Night Tussle

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane baseball team will look to even the season series with Southeastern Louisiana when the Lions visit Greer Field at Turchin Stadium on Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. CT first pitch.

The Green Wave enters the game at 24-20 overall, while the Lions are 22-21.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Ken Berthelot and Ron Swoboda handling the broadcast duties. Voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor will have the radio call on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield. The game will air on 88.3 FM WRBH, along with the Tulane Athletics and Varsity Network apps.

Tuesday's starting pitching matchup will feature the Green Wave's Billy Price (2-2, 4.01 ERA) against Carson Robb of Southeastern (3-0, 2.93 ERA).

Tulane first baseman Brady Marget leads the team in batting average (.339), OPS (.956), hits (60), RBI (32) and total bases (92). Marget, left fielder Gavin Schulz and center fielder Teo Banks have all doubled 11 times. Catcher Colin Tuft has scored 49 runs, boasts a team-high 32 walks and leads in on-base percentage (.446) and stolen bases (10). Banks is tops in home runs (12), RBI (40) and slugging percentage (.555).
TJ Salvaggio (.315) leads the Lions in batting average, OPS (.994), runs scored (40), homers (9), RBI (32), total bases (85), slugging percentage (.570) and on-base percentage (.424). Shea Thomas (49) paces the team in hits and doubles (11). Ryan Brome and Jake Haze have both walked 26 times and Brome has six stolen bases.Â

The two teams locked horns on March 12 in Hammond with Southeastern emerging victorious by an 8-7 score. The Lions put up five runs in the bottom of the first inning and held off a ninth-inning rally by the Green Wave to secure the victory.Â
