TULANE GAME NOTES
CHARLOTTE, NCÂ - The Tulane baseball team will travel to Charlotte for its final regular season series of 2024.

Due to inclement weather in the forecast for the Queen City, the schedule for the series has been adjusted. The two teams will now play a 2 p.m. ET/1 CT doubleheader on Thursday and one game (time TBA) on Friday.

The Green Wave (29-23, 13-11 American Athletic Conference) is coming a home sweep of sixth-ranked ECU last weekend, Tulane's first over ECU since 2008 and its first at home against the Pirates since 2005.

Tulane has clinched a spot in next week's American Athletic Conference Tournament and could be seeded anywhere from 1-8 based off this week's results.
Charlotte (22-30, 11-13) has lost five straight, including a road sweep at the hands of Wichita State last weekend.

The 49ers come into the weekend sitting in a four-way tie for fifth, while the Green Wave is tied with the Shockers for third.

The entire series will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor will also have the call on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield. The game will air on 88.3 FM WRBH, along with the Tulane Athletics and Varsity Network apps. Airtime for all the games is 15 minutes before first pitch.

Tulane will send LHP Luc Fladda (3-3, 5.43 ERA) to the mound in the series opener against Charlotte LHP Cole Reynolds (4-6, 5.11 ERA). The Olive and Blue's Chandler Welch (6-3, 4.83 ERA) will be the Game 2 starter against 49ers' LHP Adam Stanton (4-3, 4.58 ERA). On Friday, Charlotte will start LHP Chase Carson (2-1, 7.02 ERA) against a Tulane starter that has yet to be named.

Charlotte's Noah Furcht leads the team with a .313 batting average, while Carson Bayne is tops in OPS (.952), RBI (43), total bases (107) and slugging percentage (.582). Bayne and Dante DeFranco share the team lead with 12 home runs. Brandon Stahlman's 38 runs scored pace the squad, as does his 58 hits and 15 doubles. Shane Taylor has walked 44 times and leads in on-base percentage (.451). Thad Ector's six stolen bases are the most by a Charlotte player.

Tulane first baseman Brady Marget leads the team in batting average (.332), hits (68), RBI (48), total bases (106) and on-base percentage (.431). Catcher Colin Tuft has scored 57 runs, boasts a team-high 38 walks and 11 stolen bases. Second baseman Connor Rasmussen leads the team with 13 doubles, while center fielder Teo Banks and left fielder Jackson Linn are tops in home runs (12) to go with Linn's 1.028 OPS, three triples and .662 slugging percentage.
