DENTON, Texas – Tulane men's basketball (13-11, 7-4) was unable to overcome an early deficit on the road against North Texas (17-6, 8-3) falling 66-76 to the Mean Green on Saturday afternoon. A 20-2 first half run by North Texas created an uphill battle for the Green Wave against the top scoring defense in the American Athletic Conference.
With the loss, Tulane drops to 3-5 in true road games this season including 3-3 in conference play. The defeat is also the fourth-straight for the Wave against North Texas moving Tulane to 2-4 all-time against the Green Wave.
A trio of players finished the contest in double figures for the Green Wave led by Asher Woods with a season-high 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting. Woods also added four rebounds and a pair of steals on Saturday. The junior guard has scored double figures in 12 games this season including three in a row.

Brenen Lorient led the attack for UNT finishing with 15 point and a team-high eight rebounds. The Mean Green also matched its season-best from beyond the arc as the team knocked down 11 three-pointers.
