
Green Wave Returns to the Road for Weekend Regattas

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing will be back on the water this weekend for regattas in Virginia and Massachusetts. The Green Wave will compete in the Aaron Szambecki Team Race in Norfolk, Virginia, and the Duplin Trophy Women's Team Race in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Saturday and Sunday, March 22-23.

The Aaron Szambecki Team Race, hosted by Old Dominion, will feature 10 team including the Wave on the Elizabeth River. The team competing with Tulane on the water will be Old Dominion, George Washington, Fordham, Navy, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Miami, Stanford, and Boston College.

Tulane will be represented in the regatta by skippers Hamilton Barclay, Christian Ebbin, and Kelly Holthus with crews Sabrina Anderson, Taylor Bartell, Matheo Capasso, Ryan Ehnot, Sloane Mullin, CJ Ricci, and Brady Starck. Racing is scheduled to start at 8:45 a.m. CT on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Green Wave will have a women's squad competing for the Duplin Trophy Women's Team Race hosted by Harvard. The teams competing alongside the Green Wave in the regatta are MIT, Harvard, Brown, College of Charleston, Roger Williams, Yale, Boston College, and Bowdoin.

Racing the water for the Wave will be skippers Gabriella Vassel, Ava Anderson, and Sammie Gardner with crews Cate Anderson, Hope Breslin, Caitlin Briggs, Essie Clifton, Ella May Corckran, Oakley Cunningham, and Martha Hughes.
