Wave Sets Sail for Busy Road Weekend

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing hits the road this weekend to compete in three separate regattas on Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8. The Green Wave will have a pair of teams in Charleston, South Carolina, for the Bob Bavier Open Team Race and the Phebe Corckran King Women's Team Race while another crew will compete for the Wave in the St. Mary's Open Team Race in St. Mary's City, Maryland.

The Wave will be one of eight teams competing in the Bob Bavier Open Team Race hosted by College of Charleston. The other teams racing in the regatta include College of Charleston, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Stanford, North Carolina State, Jacksonville, Roger Williams University,
The format for the Bob Bavier Open Team Race will consist of one or more round robins. Competition is scheduled to begin at approximately 8 a.m. CT on Saturday and Sunday.
Also taking place in Charleston, South Carolina, and hosted by the College of Charleston will be the Phebe Corckran King Women's Team Race. The Green Wave will compete on the water against four other teams in the regatta including College of Charleston, Jacksonville, MIT, and Roger Williams University.

The Phebe Corckran King Women's Team Race will be held on Saturday only with a start time of approximately 8 a.m. CT. The regatta will consist of one or more regattas until a winner is determined.
Meanwhile, Tulane will also have a team competing in the St. Mary's Open Team Race in hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland in St. Mary's City, Maryland. The Green Wave will race alongside nine other teams in the regatta including Navy, George Washington, Cornell, College of Charleston, Roger Williams University, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Stanford, Rhode Island, and Christopher Newton.

The format for the St. Mary's regatta is slated to be a triple round robin. Racing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
