NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane women's hoops team (12-7, 3-3) returns to New Orleans for just their third and final home game of the month, welcoming in Tulsa (6-13, 2-4) for a 7 p.m. CT bout on Wednesday night on ESPN3. The Wave will don their special green 'We Back Pat' t-shirts during warm-ups in honor of the week, as Tulane's marketing staff will also be passing out purple 'We Back Pat' wristbands before the game.Â
LAST TIME OUT
• Tulane remained within single digits for the first 14 minutes and had it within 11 points just two minutes before the half at No. 1 UConn this past Sunday. Yet, the Huskies produced a quick 10-0 run right before the half and never looked back, outscoring the Wave 32-14 in the third quarter, before arriving to the 100-56 final.
• Tulane's 56 points was the most against UConn in their short six-game series history while in The American together.
• The Wave were up 19-16 at the half in the rebounding battle vs UConn, before losing by one, 31-30, at the conclusion of the game.
SERIES HISTORY - TULSA
• Tulane leads the all-time series, 17-8, against Tulsa. The Wave are 4-1 against the Golden Hurricane since joining The American.
• Tulane is 9-3 at home vs Tulsa.
• Last season, the Wave swept the regular season series, winning by a combined margin of 132-89.
• Morgan has had the most success against the Golden Hurricane, averaging 14.0 ppg on 45.6 percent shooting.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN HURRICANE
• Tulsa is coming off of a 73-62 win at UCF but has yet to achieve back-to-back wins this season. Golden Hurricane are 2-4 in American play, also recording a 57-52 win vs Memphis.
• Erika Wakefield is the lone player averaging double-digit points at 12.2 ppg. The junior guard is shooting 42.1 percent from the field. Also leads the team in assists and steals.
• Tulsa is shooting 35.5 percent from beyond the arc, which ranks second in the league and 47th in the country. Also average 7.3 three-pointers per game which ranks 64th in the nation.
• Tulsa suffers from a -6.5 rebounding margin.
MORGAN'S HOT STREAK
Morgan has produced a career high streak of four straight games of 20+ points, averaging 22.0 points on 47.9 percent shooting in that span. The junior is now up to 11 total 20+ performances this season after producing 13 total last season.
In addition, Morgan has achieved 12 straight games with double-digit points. The streak started just two days after being held scoreless for the first time of her career at Middle Tennessee - Morgan then erupted for a career high 34 points on a career best 14 made field goals at Vanderbilt on Dec. 5. Morgan is one double-digit effort away from tying her career high streak of 13 set last season.
IN EXCLUSIVE COMPANY
Senior point guard Leslie Vorpahl recently became the 28th member of Tulane's 1,000-career point club back on Dec. 28. - now sitting with 1,092 points which ranks 17th all-time. On the assists side, Vorpahl currently ranks fourth on the all-time list at 481, chasing No. 3 Olivia Grayson at 499. Vorpahl would be just the third person to surpass 500 career assists behind Jamie Kaplan (582) and Ashley Langford (722).
If Vorpahl surpasses the 500 career assist milestone, she would become just the second player in program history to achieve 1,000 career points and 500 career assists. The lone Tulane women's player to achieve the feat ---> Langford (2005-09) with her 1,047 points & 722 assists.
CLIMBING THE ALL-TIME CHARTS
Morgan, who became the first player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points in her first two seasons, now sits at 1,354 career points, which ranks 10th all-time. Up next:

MORGAN AT THE LINE
Morgan has made 19 of her last 20 free throws, raising her free-throw percentage to 85.5 percent which ranks 2nd in The American and 43rd in the nation. The Nola native has converted 94.4 percent of her free throws in AAC play, which ranks third.
HOME SWEET HOME
A year after tying the program record for most wins inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse (14), the Green Wave are back at it again, starting the season off 7-0 at home before dropping their first contest on Jan. 4 to then No. 22 USF, 62-53. The loss also snapped the Wave's 11-game home win streak that dated back to last season, marking the longest win streak at home since 2003.
The Olive and Blue, now 8-1 at home this season, are averaging 71.8 ppg inside Fogelman in Devlin, with a +12.2 scoring margin. The Wave are also shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three-point range. Individually, Morgan & Vorpahl are averaging 21.0 ppg and 12.6 ppg at home, respectively.
EYE ON THE RPI // BRACKETOLOGY
According to NCAA RPI rankings, Tulane sat at No. 106 as of Dec. 12. After a season high five-game win streak and notable wins over NC State and Auburn, the Green Wave jumped all the way up to No. 35. After a 3-3 start to American play, Tulane now sits at No. 36. According to Real Time RPI on Jan. 23, Tulane's strength of schedule ranked No. 23 in the country.
UConn marked the Wave's 10th opponent inside the current RPI Top-100, in which Tulane boasts a 4-6 record.
Lastly, in the latest ESPN Bracketology on Jan. 16, Tulane was part of the 'last four in' as a No. 10 seed.
