
Tulane Falls to Wichita State

WICHITA, KANSAS — The Tulane University volleyball team (8-18) dropped to 3-12 in American Athletic Conference play after a four-set loss (14-25, 22-25, 25-18, 23-25) at Wichita State.
The Shockers improved to 14-11 overall and 9-5 in conference.
The Green Wave offense hit .149 in the match while the Shockers countered with a .229 attack percentage. Outside hitter Melissa Kolurbasi led the Wave with 12 kills, hitting .318 overall. Martin also claimed three digs, two blocks, and 14.5 points.
Middle Blocker Kayla Kaiser also got in her fair share of kills with 9 and a .350 hitting percentage. That paled in comparison to Kaiser's six aces, which is tied for four most in. a match in program history.
Libero Jillian Dits carried the defensive duties with 21 digs and six assists. Freshman setter Katherine Crosley moved the ball well, tallying 19 assists, two kills, and six digs.
The Green Wave dropped the match posting 45 kills, 38 assists, eight aces, 64 digs, seven blocks, and a 43.5% passing rate.
Tulane will be back in action on Sunday when it hits the road to face Tulsa. The match is set for 1 p.m. central time.
