NEW ORLEANS- The Green Wave volleyball team (5-18) will close out their weekend at home when they host UAB (3-21) Sunday at 2:00 PM.

This Past Friday Versus Charlotte
Tulane swept AAC rival, Charlotte on Friday.
The Green Wave offense was led by outside hitters, Avery Burks and Ilayda Demirtas. Both finished the match with 10 kills a piece. Demirtas had an impressive .529 hitting percentage in the contest.
Defensively, Sabrina Skyers led the way with one solo block and one assisted block.
Tulane had a total of nine service aces in the match, four of which came from graduate defensive specialist, Savannah Perry.
Statistics:
Tulane remains in the top 6 in the conference defensively. They currently sit in sixth place in blocks per set averaging 2.35 and fourth place in digs per set averaging 15.79.
The defensive front is led by middle blocker Sabrina Skyers and libero Lauryn Burrows. Skyers finds herself second in the AAC in blocks per set averaging 1.15. Burrows is second in the AAC for digs per set with 4.54.
Burks is the go-to contributor to Tulane's offensive effort. The freshman currently sits at 6th in the AAC in kills per set averaging 3.36.
Defensive specialist Savannah Perry is Tulane's go-to player at the service line. She is second in the AAC in aces per set averaging .42.
UAB Matchup:
UAB is 3-21 so far this season. The Blazers have one conference win so far this season over Florida Atlantic. That places them last in the AAC East standings and overall standings.
Charlotte is one of the many newcomers to join the American Athletic Conference. Tulane, however, does have some history with the Blazers as former Conference-USA foes.
Tulane leads the series record, 20-14. The Green Wave defeated the Blazers 3-0 the last time the two met in 2021.
